One person was starting his words like this, I know what you say BUT…and he is stopped! and then the quote comes
“Do not say anything else! Cause anything you say after but is going to be bad!”
Another quote which is bang opposite is a quote from Game of thrones!
Jon Snow in Game of Thrones says, “What did Father use to say? Everything before the word ‘but’ is horse-shit”
The inclusion of the word BUT actually makes the statement less rude that is all!
You know that anytime a comment or compliment comes with a BUT, the compliment or the comment is not the real thing! The real opinion is what comes after and it is never going to be good!
Then again maybe adding that BUT makes it less rude and more frank!
It has been said that Being frank focuses on clarity and truth, while being rude adds unnecessary hostility or disrespect!
If the statement comes with the words like Frank or let me be frank or frankly speaking; then more often that not, it is going to be rude!
Though the intent may be different! Frankness aims to share an honest observation or hard truth to foster understanding. Rudeness aims to belittle, dismiss, or disregard another person’s feelings!
Being frank sticks to the core issue or behavior. Being rude includes extra, hurtful comments or personal attacks that do not help solve a problem!
Frank communication can be firm yet respectful. Rudeness relies on harsh language, condescension, or hostility!
Finally being frank actually address specific behaviors rather than attacking someone’s intrinsic character which is considered rude!
My personal opinion is that you need to be more truthful than FRANK since the final judge of opinion that your opinion is frank or rude is how the person receives it!
For a teen, all statements made by the parent are rude! While if you love and respect someone, his or her statements would always be true! Rude or frank does not come into picture!
Now my non rude frank advice is that; if you actually want to be frank and truthful and not rude then you need to deliver your opinion in private! We often criticize in public while we compliment in private!
While the fact of the matter is that you must praise in public and criticize or comment in private!
Then again try not to be rude to Clint Eastwood! The dirty Harry may not like it! Chum!
Now frankly though it’s time to sleep!
