Now you know about the Flywheel concept and its application in life!
If not you can have a revision with this link
The flywheel psych…
But did you know that the flywheel concept is also used in marketing and bussiness!?
So the flywheel concept in business is a self-reinforcing loop where small, consistent wins compound over time to build unstoppable momentum!
There is a book called Good to great by Jim Collins in which he explains the use of this concept to build a great company!
At first, moving it requires immense effort with very little visible progress. With each push, the wheel accumulates energy. Eventually, the momentum takes over, and the wheel spins almost by itself.
Core Principles of this concept include
Compound Consistency: Success does not come from a single miracle moment or massive rebrand, but from steady, repeated pushes in the exact same direction!
Then you have the Doom Loop which is in fact the opposite of a flywheel.
When results dip, leaders panic, change direction constantly, and restart from scratch—losing all accumulated momentum!
Finally you have something called the Hedgehog Concept in which you must clearly understand what your business can be the best at, and align every part of the flywheel around that core focus.
Famous Examples of AMAZING (got the hint!?) companies which used these concept and got great results inlcude AMAZON!
The Amazon Flywheel by Jeff Bezos worked like this!
Lower prices → attract more customer visits → invite more third-party sellers → expand distribution/store footprint → grow revenues per fixed cost → enable even lower prices!
Then you have the HubSpot Customer Flywheel! This replaces the traditional linear sales funnel (which treats customers as a final output) with a continuous cycle of Attract → Engage → Delight, turning happy customers into active promoters who drive organic referral!
Then again any WHEEL rotates! What comes up must go down and also what goes down will go up!
Then again it’s all the way up as far as acting goes for Prem Chopra!
Now let the wheel of time settle down!
Shubh ratri…
