Being immortal…

What’s the secret of immortality?

No one knows but someone could say that if you do not have heart brain or even bones then you can apparently be immortal!

In fact there is an example of such an organism which is immortal!

No it’s not superman!

It’s jellyfish!

Jellyfish have no brain, heart, bones or eyes.

They are made up of a smooth, bag-like body and tentacles armed with tiny, stinging cells.

These incredible invertebrates use their stinging tentacles to stun or paralyse prey before gobbling it up.

The jellyfish’s mouth is found in the centre of its body!  The ‘immortal’ jellyfish is called  Turritopsis dohrnii!

To date, this is the only species that has been called ‘biologically immortal’!

These small, transparent animals hang out in oceans around the world and can turn back time by reverting to an earlier stage of their life cycle!

So the secret to long life is having no brain, heart, bones or eyes!

Or as in the words of great sages; “no attachments!”.

For now though every human will grow old and wise (that’s not sure though!).

But still the more wrinkles you have means the more wise you are (again not proven!).

You may get hurt and take more time to heal but that’s life!

Life and beautiful colours was the work of

S.G. Neginhal who planted the beautiful flowers all over Bengaluru which makes it so vibrant when they bloom!

A quick blog on a challenging day!
