In the novel Secret of Secrets by Dan Brown; (No spoilers still!) he talks about the STARGATE project!
Now though the blog does not have direct spoilers, some details may be ‘leaked’ so if you still want to read the latest Dan Brown novel without even minimal spoilers (you still have not finished it!?) then you can stop right here!
Stargate is not a gate used by stars to enter! That is simply a regular gate!
The Stargate Project was a secret U.S. government program, primarily funded by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and the CIA from the 1970s until 1995, to investigate the military and intelligence applications of psychic phenomena. The program focused largely on “remote viewing,” the purported ability to psychically “see” events, sites, or information from a distance!
You may feel that this is futuristic but news flash! The future is here!
The basic premise was an arms race of the psychic kind! A “psychic arms race”!
The project was initiated during the Cold War in response to reports that the Soviet Union was conducting its own research into psychic abilities. U.S. intelligence agencies feared falling behind a potential Soviet advantage in “psych energetics,” leading them to explore paranormal research!
The project’s main technique, remote viewing, used trained individuals, or “viewers,” to gather information on distant or unseen subjects. Participants would attempt to describe locations and objects psychically without any physical contact.
According to some sources, remote viewers worked on hundreds of missions! The most definitive examples on which even now the original members swear by were some amazing examples which include;
Pinpointing the location of a crashed Soviet spy plane.
Identifying a mysterious industrial building in the arctic circle.
Sketches of secret Soviet bases!
Then you also had questionable data one researcher’s claim of remotely viewing Mars a million years in the past!
The issue was a term which if you believe, then you are no longer a scientist! ESP or Extrasensory Perception!
Then again you have a modern “Stargate” project!
This is an unrelated (is it!?) AI initiative that has also been named “Stargate,”. This modern project involves companies like OpenAI, Microsoft, and Oracle building data centers for AI development!
This is where the old and new collide in the story by Dan! According to him, the Stargate was never a failure and it was never decommissioned! In fact with the advancement in neural integration, it was a real thing! Now whether the novel which was until now full of facts, a fiction when it comes to Stargate; is for left to your gate or opinion!
What nonsense you would say! See I read you mind! ESP! Now there may be many military secrets you may never get to know! At least now you know one! Military reminds me of ex Indian Air Force officer turned actor MG Soman aka Somashekharan Nair!
