“Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” is a Sanskrit phrase meaning “the world is one family”
Told thousands of years ago! Now a science mentioned in a book by a best seller mentions it in another way! World is indeed a small place!
Like the blog which does not give any spoilers to the sketch in question; do not worry if any novel which is fiction is mentioned! No spoilers will be given away!
In the novel Secret of the secrets by Dan Brown; you have a scientist who is an expert in NOETIC science!
I can see all of you shaking your head!
The scientist who is a great speaker starts the speech by telling; “I get lots of questions about NOETIC science!” she continues, “The most common and usually the first question is, What is NOETIC science!”
Of course that was the question you and me had all along the head shake!
Noetic science is a field of study that combines objective scientific tools with subjective inner knowing to explore the nature of human consciousness and its potential to influence the physical world. The term “noetic” comes from the Greek word noēsis, meaning “inner wisdom,” “direct knowing,” or “intuitive understanding”.
The field gained prominence with the founding of the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) in 1973 by Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell. Inspired by a profound feeling of interconnectedness he experienced while returning from the moon, Mitchell sought to apply scientific research to the study of inner, subjective experiences.
Core principles!
The central hypothesis of noetic science is that consciousness is not merely a byproduct of the brain but a fundamental aspect of reality. Therefore, it is believed to have a discernible influence on the physical world !
Now here is where it gets interesting for me!
The Interconnectedness!
Noetic science suggests that all beings and phenomena are fundamentally interconnected at a deeper level of consciousness. This perspective posits that an individual’s consciousness can have an effect on the collective!
Which means that we are all one!
The science also explores how focused intention and belief can affect outcomes, such as in healing practices or meditation. This concept draws parallels with quantum theory, where the observer’s intention can influence observed phenomena!
Of course it is a developing science! Then again we have always been REDISCOVERING what was already known! That is why remixes are popular! They give a supposedly new flavor to a known melody buried deep within you ready to come out like a sweet memory full of nostalgia!
Or Dan Brown may thrash it out in the end! Only a true practitioner of NOETIC science may know in advance!
Now use your NOETIC ability to guess the sketch of today! Or simply read the text!
SHubh ratri!
