The last two sketches were my personal favourite and best! Really happy with them!
Hope you liked them too!
“Late to bed and later to rise!
Being a night owl may not be that wise!
But the only thing that matters is success!
Then all concepts will become a mess!”
So are you a night owl or a day reader?
Apparently the best time to start your day according to Robin Sharma’s 5 am club and according to this study and article by London school of Economics; the best time to study is in the morning!
read on!
Luckily this study came recently because I have spent my whole life studying in the night only! Even during exams I used to sleep late and get up and go for the show so to speak!
So now according to scientists, the brain is most alert and teachable at 10 am–2 pm and 4 pm–10 pm! it has been advised that if you would like to optimise your attention span and practise deep learning, then science advises you to study between the hours of 4 am and 7 am. This period is best for deep focus. This is probably the best time to study in the morning!
Of course even if the study has come now, since time immemorial, we have always been urged to get up in the morning!
The early to bed and early to rise is a proverb which has been drilled into every kid since ages! Anyone who gets up late or sleeps late does not have a good habit and is most probably spoilt!
So what are the apparent Advantages of Studying in the Morning?
So the concept is that our brains tend to be the most efficient and alert in the morning after a good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast!
This puts you in a state where learning will be easy also apparently the morning time is often the best time to learn new theories and grasp complex concepts!
It has also been said that the ample amount of natural light available in the morning can also help you stay alert and focused and also the early morning light is also highly beneficial for your eyes, it makes your retinas strong and your eye muscles able to process a lot of information or look at a computer screen! And finally a morning study schedule is likely to be in line with your circadian rhythm and will help you maintain your sleep schedule.
Well the theory is sound and it does give results! Many successful people are early getters and they swear by it!
Then there are some who read till late and get up even more late! When the sun is literally hitting your face and heating your room is when they get up! Day starts in the noon and ends with the dark moon!
If you ask about their success then even they swear that in the still of the night the things get in easy! Plus the biggest advantage is that when you start a thing in the night and finish it, the sense of satisfaction makes you get a good sleep! Trying to do that in the morning makes some people anxious and then the sleep is not good! A feeling of completion is usually when you work in the night!
In fact in our medical colleges you would not find many rooms unlit in the night! The light stays on till late night while some lights get on early in the morning! In between the duties and classes, it is more convenient to many to read in the night!
Many people though now have also claimed that reading in the morning makes you retain the stuff more and also makes you more active earlier in the day!
It has also been seen that as you get older, you start to prefer the early night sleep and getting up with the sun! Many elders in the family still follow the getting up early in the morning and the staying up late is frowned upon! They get up early and by two hours their work of the day is done!
Practically though, once it is in your system to sleep late then getting up early is a difficult task so as Robin Sharma says you have to develop this good habit so that your life will get on track!
So for all those night owls who spend the time watching the soaps and OTT series late into the night, sleep early and get up so that you can take on the world! By the way this advice is mainly for me so do not get angry!
This constant tiff between the older early getter and the younger late sleepers has been beautifully shown in the movie called Samsaram Adhu Minsaram starring the birthday celebrity Meenakshisundaram Ramasamy Viswanathan aka VISU! It was my mother’s favorite movie and the role of the father has been played so well by Visu!
Now decide whether you are an early sleeper or not and sleep when you can!
Shubh Ratri!
