Arjun Reddy/Kabir Singh- the lead role is of a doctor but it can never be true!
Since I have only seen Arjun Reddy and since the review of Kabir Singh is in the same lines, the summary applies to both though for now it is mainly for Arjun Reddy…
All those numskulls who are raving after or about this movie let me bring you to the reality of medical life and being a doctor/ surgeon who practices evidence based modern medicine!
So the movie shows an apparently succesful and the best (as if that’s a thing!) Ortho surgeon who cannot keep his lust in his pants and like a dog in heat tries to screw anything remotely feminine! Yeah that sounds crude but it is what it is! And that is just the trailer to this absolute filth!
Disgusted yet? Ok then, the surgeon here apparently operates under alcohol and smokes like a chimney! And yeah he also does drugs and one surgery he apparently did under the influence so the medical council pulled him up!
In this day and age when a fully concious able doctor gets beaten by the public if he or she is not able to change the course of nature and prevent the death of a patient!
The movie seems to have this surgeon living in the land of the blind (and deaf and mentally retarded like the people who liked this movie and made it a big big hit!).
Still not disgusted?; ok then, he is also the college bully who selected this girl and announced that she is his property and of course used her like that!
Well, let me tell you the reality of a medical college romance!
So if you are an arrogant egoitic dolt then the very intelligent MBBS girl will move on rather than suffer your atrocities!
And also understand that you may be very intelligent but you gotta read and pass the exams and that includes the maximum number of written and oral tests in the world! You also got to remember what you read in the first day of the medical school to the last or else you will be nothing in the post graduate examinations.
Since he was an ortho in what I can only assume to be a government college then he must be getting a good rank! And believe me that cannot be achived by doing drama and romance over your apparent girlfriend!
Still not convinced?!
Ok then, this guy apparently has a fling with the by stander’s wife! Now that is just wrong in multiple levels! He also beats his girlfriend, maid, his flings and almost everyone else!
In reality you will be beaten by those very people in the same order!
The most distressing thing is how women are treated and in spite of that the actor has so much of support especially for this role just because apparently he looks macho in beard and he looks very cute without that!
So is how the guy looks gives you the basic differrence between harmless flirt and harassment? For the sake of feminism I sincerely believe that is not the case.
Then you have the arrogance of apparently being the best doctor in town! Let me get you back to earth! Almost every nook and corner has a good hospital especially in a city and almost all ortho doctors with a fair share of experience are good!
So if one doctor is not feeling well or like in the movie under the unfluence of drugs then you will have ten doctors who can do the job equally well and even better (considering the fact that they would not be drunk or drugged like our hero!)
Also interesting is how the hero can have one night stands all over and with everyone; the heroine has been kept ‘pure!’ for him! Hypocrisy just took a nosedive!
Finally remember that almost all who come to a government medical College in merit are intelligent so there is no one who cannot be replaced! So if you feel you are good then that’s just you! There are ten who can easily take your place!
And even if you are good or intelligent, that does not give you the right to be a pompous arrogant ass! Which is actually a one line summary of the movie!
So watch the movie and feed your machismo but remember to keep all that in the theatre only!
That’s because in the real life Arjun Reddy would have been thrashed, the girl would have ditched him in the first year itself, the Dean would have suspended him, he would have become a chronic failure and finally would settle to be the broker for supplying food and occasional drinks to the men’s hostel!
And that too if he was really the best!
